A stretch of cable that opens up to diamonds like peas  in a pod. That roughly sums up the brief to this engagement ring which has delivered a quite unique project to work on!  The finished article is produced from seven individual strands of platinum in a twist which opens at the top to reveal a trilogy of diamonds. The result is interesting elegant and beautiful!  Have a look Below…

There is quite a lot of weight in this Platinum Half Eternity Ring. The stones are 2 carats of baguette cut diamonds. These stones have sharp clean lines and demand a high degree of skill to compliment them with a clean and straight channel setting edge. despite the weight involved these clean lines still provide a refined classic look!

Here is a beautiful Three Stone Ring commissioned by a lady who loves pink! The central stone is a very vivid Pink Sapphire with two Triliant Diamonds on each shoulder. They are mounted in 18ct White Gold claw settings with daylight spaces under all the stones to let the light pass through.

Here are a pair of 18ct White Gold Diamond Hoops, left with the natural colour of the creamy white gold. They are a simple yet complicated design with a three knuckle hinge enabling the back arm to swing open. Then there is the post at the top which has a nick in them that clicks into the arm as it closes. This has to be just right to give that kind of satisfying, secure snap that is only found elsewhere when popping bubble wrap. The diamonds here are spectacle set at the bottom, hanging on small jumprings to move about, which lets maximum light pass into the stones so they can sparkle with the movement.

The little extra daylight is helping the photo sessions a lot!!! I’ve been getting a few pieces together for a clients wedding and they are useful guinea pigs for the photo booth.  Here is some test shots of the brides ring. It’s a Channel set Diamond ET in Platinum, and looks amazing in reality so it’s hard to get the level of sparkle through in the photo’s!

I made this lovely little panda for a Christmas present. I was quite happy with the way the eyes came out as they are little diamonds suspended in tubes mounted on the back plate. The ears were darkened with a little oxidizing solution on the silver.
